When Covaris launched a groundbreaking but highly complex next-generation sequencing (NGS) sample preparation platform, customers needed kits customized to their specific level of automation.
I designed and built an interactive branching tool in Storyline that guides asks users a series of questions about their lab's workflow, ultimately guiding them to the best kit configuration for their specific needs. The tool was built to serve two purposes: to guide the sales team through technical conversations with customers, and as a self-service resource that could be accessed by customers directly. This tool was developed to support both a business goal (lower material costs) and an environmental one (less plastic waste), contributing to a 15% reduction in both.
